E-commerce projects aren't solely about Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO). They often involve complex challenges related to branding and Content Management Systems (CMS) that significantly impact a company's day-to-day operations. This case study explores how we addressed such challenges for Natura.
This case study underscores the importance of a holistic approach to e-commerce projects. By addressing branding, CMS, and user experience, we empowered Natura to maintain agility and control in their content management processes while elevating their online presence.
Project Summary
Natura engaged Cloud District to implement a cutting-edge CMS, specifically tailored to their e-commerce platform. The primary business objective was to empower Natura's team to swiftly update content without requiring intervention from front-end devolpers.
Project Approach
Documentation: I meticulously documented each UI module, every page, the information architecture, and navigation structures. This groundwork was crucial for the seamless migration to the new CMS.
Design System Preparation: As part of the migration process, I prepared a comprehensive Design System within Figma. This strategic move allowed the Design System to function as modular components for the CMS.
This approach offered Natura a flexible way to create new pages. They could either use a "Drag-and-Drop" method in Figma, then replicate the structure in the CMS, or make direct changes within the CMS interface.
Once the documentation and Design System were established, I proceeded to design new modules and implement UI enhancements tailored to the specific requirements of Design, Communication, and Business.
